FELT started with Tarquin and Jim meeting and doing some open mics together. Early line-ups had Dave Hartkern on drums and Richard Eigen on acoustic guitar and vocals.

The addition of Ian Smit on soundscape guitar opened up the sound, the addition of Matt and Steve solidified the drums and percussion positions, and the band came into full form with the addition of Chris for additional vocals and lots of tickling ivories.

Stuff Brothers is a spin-off band that features Tarquin Learned and Doug Gill, but has sometimes added other members of FELT as guests at gigs.
